Last night, after feeling bad for myself over the pizza incident, I picked up the scale I ordered on Amazon. 279. On Easter, a week before my diet started, I weighed 277. Yes it was a different scale. Yes it was a week before I stated. Yes a week and a half isn’t much time. Yes this diet is about changing my lifestyle.
I know all those things, but 279 hit me like a ton of bricks. I’ve been working so hard, I changed what I eat and the way I eat. I’ve been exercising 5 days a week. 279 was not what I wanted to read.
So I ended up at McDonalds, eating french fries and chicken nuggets. I just wanted comfort food. I got “caught”. Charlie Todd and Ben Rodgers were walking by McDonalds and saw me. I guess they had been talking about my blog and this diet. It’s embarrassing to be caught.
Today I’m back on track. I’m calling yesterday this week’s cheat day, so I’ll still be on my diet on Sunday. This was a stumble, not a fall. I’m going to keep up with this diet and this blog. Accountability helps.
